The KARNEOL violin string set produces well-balanced velvety tones, giving warmth and texture to your sound. They have a synthetic core, and normally require three days to achieve tuning stability and optimum tone quality.

These strings make playing feel easy.

Their warm and velvety sound really comes into its own once the strings have settled.

WARCHAL Karneol Viola Strings

The Karneol string set produces well-balanced velvety tones, giving warmth and texture to your sound. They have a synthetic core, and normally require three days to achieve tuning stability and optimum tone quality.

Metal core as well as Synthetic core A strings are available. The sound of the synthetic A string matches the set perfectly. Because aluminium or hydronalium wound A strings are less durable than those with a metal core, WARCHAL wanted to give players a choice.

 

Viola strings are available in two scales.

Medium Vibrating Length 14“ – 15“  (36 – 38 cm)

Long Vibrating Length 15“ – 15.75“  (38 – 40cm)

 

Please note that WARCHAL use the vibrating string length. For instruments with exactly 38 cm vibrating  length we advise choosing our medium size viola strings.

 

To avoid damaging strings it is essential that Warchal viola string sizes are chosen according to the vibrating string length of your instrument and not its body length. The vibrating string length is the distance between the bridge and the nut. The majority of violas have a Medium vibrating string length.
